VCDS HEX-NET and VCDS-Mobile

Ross-Tech® HEX-NET® is the latest and best diagnostic device in our offer. In combination with the VCDS® and VCDS-Mobile® software, it equals (and in some cases even exceeds!) the capabilities of diagnostic testers used in authorized services (e.g. VAS5052). The HEX-NET interface together with the VCDS and/or VCDS-Mobile program allows for computer diagnostics of VW, AUDI, SEAT, SKODA vehicles, manufactured in the years1990-2026. Support for models manufactured before 1995 requires the use of the OBD-I/2×2 adapter

Main advantages of the HEX-NET interface:

• The HEX-NET interface is a hardware key for the VCDS and VCDS-Mobile software (problem-free and quick activation of the program - even on many computers and mobile devices).
• Works with the following applications: VCDS (computers with Windows® - from "7" to "10") and VCDS-Mobile (mobile devices - the operating system does not matter, only a web browser and WiFi are required.)
• Compatible with, among others: with: Android® smartphones and tablets, Apple® devices – e.g. iPad®, iPhone®, etc., also with Microsoft Surface® and Windows Phone®… e-book readers – e.g. Kindle®… etc.
• Possibility of using the device wirelessly via WiFi (computers and mobile devices) and wired - using the attached USB cable (does not apply to VCDS-Mobile).
• Possibility to work in Access Point mode (the device generates its own WiFi network) and in infrastructure mode (HEX-NET connects to an existing WiFi network).
• Support for VAG models produced between 1990 and 2026.
• Much faster scanning of CAN-based vehicles compared to the previous generation device.
• DoIP protocol support.
• Signaling the device's operating mode in the form of LED diodes located at the back of the interface (for better visibility).
• Possibility to adjust the brightness of the LEDs from the VCDS program.

Important facts:

• The HEX-NET interface does not support some TDI engines found in Audi vehicles, manufactured between 1991 and 1994 (communicating at a speed of 240 bps).
• The HEX-NET interface does not support the VW Routan model.
• The VCDS-Mobile application (for mobile devices) is still in Beta phase and is currently only available in English.

HEX-NET comes in 2 variants:

1. Professional, intended for professionals (serving an unlimited number of vehicles VAG). 2.Amateur (10VIN), intended for amateurs and hobbyists (servicing 10 selected vehicles of the VAG concern).

What is needed to use the equipment we offer?

You need a computer with the Windows® operating system or any "computerized" device with a web browser and access to a WiFi network. In the case of a laptop or desktop computer - at least a 1.5 GHz processor, at least "dual core" and WiFi (or one USB port, at least "2.0"). The required operating system is Windows 7 or later. In the case of mobile devices, the operating system does not matter. A device with a web browser and WiFi access is required.

Software:

The HEX-NET interface works with the latest version of the VCDS software,available on the manufacturer's website (to download, click this link)The VCDS-Mobile application can be downloaded from application stores appropriate for a given operating system and manufacturer (for Android - Play Store, for Apple devices - App Store).
